The Dog House Behaviour & Training Academy is an established training school for you and your pet dog. The Dog House is owned and run by Shelley Heading. The Dog House can be found in the quiet, rural location of Thorney Dyke just outside the village of Thorney near Peterborough.

Courses are held at Shelley’s home on an arable farm. All classes take place in a fenced paddock with views of Thorney fen. Offering a variety of courses and services - The Dog House prides itself on its KIND, FAIR and EFFECTIVE methods of training / behaviour modification. The Dog House welcomes all breeds, cross-breeds, ages and sizes of dogs. We also welcome dogs and owners with disabilities providing any practicalities can be overcome. the dog house offers friendly informal classes in both basic behaviours and fun activities plus individual training sessions here or at your home and behaviour consultations in your own home.

All of our courses operate a ‘first come first served basis. We offer ‘Basic Manners’ courses for both Puppies and Adults and we run Agility and Flyball for fun and TD Rally. Periodically throughout the year we run Dog Training for Children. One to One sessions are available for dogs that are unable to join the group classes due to behaviour issues such as dog to dog aggression or for those dogs and owners that just want a little extra help. Behaviour Consultations are available for more complex individual problems such as separation issues, biting, fear of people, car chasing etc.
