Our puppy classes are for young dogs under 5 months of age. Puppy hood is the best time to instill good manners and start teaching the basic training skills. As well as socialising your pup, we will cover; sit, down, recall, walking on a lead, attention, puppy biting, chewing and handling your puppy. |

Adult Beginners Group Training Course |

Most adult dogs know how to sit in the house, but does your dog sit when asked in the park, walk nicely on the lead, listen to you when there are other dogs around? If not, then come along and let us help you teach your dog the basics; sit, down, stay, recall, walking on the lead, etc. |

Agility For Fun Courses |
|
Teach your dog to run through tunnels, hop over hurdles, scale new heights, balance on see-saws and much, much more. This sport is mentally and physically challenging, lots of fun, and relationship building for you and your dog. Agility can also increase the control you have of your dog when off-lead, enhance you and your dogs fitness. Max 8 dogs per class. |

Fly Ball for Fun Courses |

Join us for this high speed sport. Send your dog over a course of four hurdles, tap a foot pedal to release a high tennis ball for them to catch as they turn, and return over the hurdles. Fly ball is physically and mentally challenging so helps tire out exuberant dogs in a positive and useful way. A great fun course and great way to spend and evening with your dog. Maximum 8 dogs per class. |

Dog Training for Children |

This new course is aimed at children 8 years and over and their pet dog. Young handlers and dogs will learn basic training exercises such as sit, down, stay and recall, responsible dog ownership; they will also be able to try the fast paced sports of Agility and Flyball as well as teaching their dogs some impressive tricks. In recent events of negative publicity The Dog House hope to produce a generation of young dog owners who have a better understanding of dog behaviour and a greater respect for our doggy friends. |

Behaviour Consultation |

If you and your dog need help with behavioural problems such as toilet training, separation, biting, growling, fear of people, aggression, dislike of being groomed, then we can help with these problems. We will make an appointment to come and meet you, your family and your dog. We will build up a picture of your dog's personality and emotional state and from this we will offer you a practical behaviour modification programme. You will also receive a typed report following our visit so all the information given is recorded for your future use. |

We welcome all breeds, cross-breeds, sizes of dog at the Dog House. However, group courses are not suitable for dogs who have "issues" with other dogs, especially "aggressive" tendencies. The Dog House offer individual "one-2-one" training in your own home of here at The Dog House. If you would like more details or are unsure if your dog is suitable for a group course, please contact us direct.
